ITF is held each year to provide students and educators with the opportunity to expand their theatre-making skills and deepen their educational experience. The communal experience of participating in workshops, attending Main Stage and Chapter Select performances that show off the work of other Thespians, and connecting with other educators and Thespians from around the world makes the festival a truly unique experience. And you are an invaluable part of that experience!
Whether you're a college representative providing opportunities for students to learn more about continuing their theatre education, a business partner showing off the latest technology and industry trends to theatre educators, or a sponsor who understands the value of a communal educational and theatrical experience, there are a number of ways you can add to the value of ITF.

For ITF 2022, initial student auditions will be submitted and reviewed virtually. College representatives will receive access through OpenWater to review audition videos and technical portfolios two weeks prior to the start of the festival. Learn more about the student audition process.
If a college is attending ITF in person and wishes to participate in the unified college auditions, the school must also book a booth in the exhibit hall. College representatives are encouraged to reach out to students directly prior to or during the festival to set up meeting times with called-back students at their exhibit booths. The exhibit hall will institute "quiet hours" in the mornings to allow for uninterrupted interview time. Additionally, callback rooms can be requested to schedule callbacks for students who you might want to see perform in person.
If a college is not attending ITF in person, they are encouraged to reach out directly to students to set up meetings using their preferred video conferencing method or by working to schedule an on-site campus visit or other means of callback.
