ITF grants enable more Thespians to participate in the life-changing experience of the festival and its weeklong student immersion into theatre with interactive workshops, top high school performances from around the world, the International Thespian Excellence Awards, college auditions, scholarships, and more.
The grant applications are open from January 1 to March 1 each year.
Send a Troupe Grant
Troupe 8445 from WP Davidson HS in Mobile, AL, recipients of the 2022 Send a Troupe Grant
The Send a Troupe Grant provides one Thespian troupe with basic International Thespian Festival registration for a teacher, inducted Thespians, and chaperones.
Note: 2023 will be the last year the Send a Troupe Grant is offered unless additional donations are received.
Doug Finney Festival Grant
The Doug Finney Festival Grant covers registration fees and travel costs for individual students to attend ITF.
Amount: $2,000
Number Awarded Annually: One (1)
Eligibility: Any inducted Thespian who is a rising junior or senior or graduated senior at the time of the festival (i.e., sophomore, junior, or senior at the time of applicaton)
The Ronald L. Longstreth Grant makes it possible for international students to participate in ITF.
Amount: Up to $3,000 in registration fees and travel expenses
Number Awarded Annually:One (1)
Eligibility: Inducted Thespians who are not U.S. citizens and reside abroad; may be part of a Thespian troupe abroad or an exchange student within a U.S.-based troupe, but must attend with a Thespian troupe (chaperone is not covered)
