Primary Adult Leader Responsibilities
As the Primary Adult Leader (PAL) for a registration group, you are responsible for the following tasks to ensure a smooth and successful experience for all attendees.
Before Registering

Review Guidelines: Read the Registration Guide in its entirety.

Collect Information: Gather all required attendee information. (Tip: Use the information collection sheets at the end of the Registration Workbook.)

Complete Registration: Use the appropriate form(s) to finalize your group's registration.
After Registering

Communications
Be sure that you receive all registration-related updates via email, calls, and/or text messages. Add edta@schooltheatre.org and events@schooltheatre.org to your safe senders list. Adults may opt out of text messages at any time after the initial receipt.

Payment
Coordinate payment by June 11, 2025, unless paid via credit card at the time of registration.

Travel & Onsite Presence
Coordinate travel to Bloomington, IN, and plan to stay onsite with your group for the entire event. Arriving late, leaving early, or departing and returning later is not permitted if students are onsite.

Housing
If staying on campus, plan on using the All-Access Pass for your group and complete the on-campus housing form by May 14, 2025.
If staying off-campus, use the Activities-Only Pass and reserve a room at one of our host hotels by May 14, 2025. Hotel reservations may be made at the time of registration or later via the Attendee Service Center (ASC). Note that changes made in the ASC require individual logins.

Forms
Ensure that all attendees have completed a background check (if applicable) and a medical history and consent form. Invitations for these forms will be sent after the May 7, 2025 registration deadline. All forms must be submitted by June 11, 2025.

Training
Complete the required Safety & Security training course (20 minutes or less) by June 11, 2025.

Encourage Student Participation
Help students get involved in the following programs:

Thespys (additional fee required)

The 24 Hour Plays

Commissioned One-Act

Opening Ceremony

At the Festival

Check-In
-
Complete housing check-in (residence halls or hotel).

Complete registration check-in. Only the PAL should report to registration check-in. Students are not permitted in the check-in area on Sunday or Monday.

Dorm Monitoring (if applicable)
Conduct nightly attendance and submit reports.

Supervision
Monitor the behavior and safety of your registration group and assist with ensuring the safety of all attendees.
