Workshop Request for Proposals

Welcome, teaching artists!

The Educational Theatre Association is currently seeking proposals for educational workshops at Virtual ITF 2021, June 22-25, including:
  • One-hour interactive workshops for students and/or teachers
  • Two-hour professional development intensives for theatre educators
As with in-person event, we aim to provide a variety of topics covering all theatrical disciplines, including acting, performing, lighting, sets, sound, makeup, costuming, directing, stage management, dance, and playwriting. More specialized subjects may include puppetry, stage combat, commedia dell’arte, and more.

Proposed workshops must be designed for a fully digital experience. Presenters must have the necessary technical equipment to deliver an engaging experience via videoconferencing software, and pre-record their session(s) as a backup in the event of technical challenges during the scheduled presentation time.

To deliver exceptional learning experiences, EdTA seeks proposals that reflect standards-based learning and model the best thinking in the field, informed by theory, experience, and practice. Preference may be given to proposals that demonstrate the following:
